When Valentina first began learning Chopin’s Waltz in A minor, she found the melody so moving that she completely absorbed it, managing to play it beautifully from memory after just three days. This waltz holds a very special place in her heart, as it is only the second piece to ever trigger such a profound emotional response from her—the first being Beethoven’s “Für Elise.” Because she feels such a genuine, personal bond with this music, she wanted to capture this performance on film to share that feeling with everyone.
